I also have a question. Would you know where the shell is?? I cant find it anywhere. If you've found it typing out directions or a map location would be great! Your welcome for helping~
Luckily for you I was smart enough to take a screenshot of my location before I picked it up. x'D I found the shell in winter, not sure if it makes a difference like some collectibles on if it has to be a time of year or not. I was hunting rabbits all up and down this hill for my cubs before they got a bit older when I ran into a frozen pond. I ended up skirting around it unsure when spring would strike, and didn't want it to just randomly happen and all my cubs to drown. If you were looking on the opposite end of the where pond is located at, (The shore the shell ISN'T on) the shell should be to the right of the waterfall by a rock. (The lynx's/your right.) I hope you find it. ;3;

^ I wasn't sure if that was the shell's location when I posted it, but I just double checked for you right now before posting this reply. It IS the shells location, so as long as you match your lynx mother to my lynx icon then you should be golden! ;3; Hope you get the achieve!
Helpful note: You'll be closer to it if you enter the mountains from the tundra (Snowflake icon) than running around all over the mountains.
I'm pretty sure i've followed your guide because i've seen the landmarks and even avoided one bear on the way, but I just can't find the bones you're talking about. ;3; The only bones I found was of some large animal in a cave around where the bear was yet there was nothing there to collect... I'm also not sure of these "Three leaning on each other" trees you're talking about. ;3; I've seen fallen trees in the forest, but none were leaning on each other...
