How to avoid the battery bug in the second level.

For some reason, you can "insert" batteries into the slots that already have batteries which doesn't count and causes them to vanish.

You have to press action when there's a blue outline around an empty battery slot to make sure it works right.

There's only two batteries.

However you can put batteries in slots that already have batteries, wasting them.

Make sure you only put batteries in the empty slots.
