Apologies for the late reply.
There is a manual save feature in the Settlers New Allies, so you should be able to save the game at any time you like.
If you save the game before trying to quit it, does it not save the progress?
If not, can you share the game's installation path, please?
Is the Ubisoft Connect and the game installed on the system C drive?
The save file location should be:
For Steam: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegame\<UbisoftConnectID>\7020
For Ubisoft Connect PC: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft GameLauncher\savegames\< Ubisoft Connect ID>\3037
Can you check if this file exist on your PC, gets modified when you save the game and is not set to "read-only" for some reason?
