Hello
My comment has 2 parts: Starting with the issues
1: No mods are loading. I opened the detail log, I have no IT knowledge so I just copy pasted the one that seem to describe what I mean.
[Manager] Starting.
[Manager] Parsing mods.
[Manager] FINISH. SUCCESSFUL LOADED 0/0 MODS.
- The previous mod, worked with no issue, infinite life and everything.
- Today, I saw you made an update. I downloaded and installed the same way I did with the previous one, just as you wrote in description (btw thank you for the detailed instruction)
- reinstalled game, remove folder everything.
- redid mod. The "mod" folder was created but NO "AdvancedSettings" folder.
- Create a folder called "AdvancedSettings". Put files inside. Worked but no "CustomGameSettings", so redid previous mod.
Now I have 2 folders in mod as well as in game:
"AdvancedSettings" and "CustomGameSettings"
Why did I wrote this? Because "CustomGameSettings", where the file and everything for ant are, where not in the Zip I downloaded today from nexut. The "CustomGameSettings" is what I haved saved on my pc before the update.... but it does not work in game
So what I want to highlight.
The new "AdvancedSettings" needs to be inside another folder to work (like how CustomGameSettings ZIP's file where inside a folder with same name), and the fact that "CustomGameSettings" is missing from the ZIP that's on nexus.
And using the "CustomGameSettings", as in any changes I make, is not reflected in game. No issue with "AdvancedSettings"
No clue how much this helps or what I am doing wrong
2: Second part: Thank you so much for the mod! The game feels more and more like a game and not a chore/second work. I don't know why so many people are obsess that games need to be a pain or challenge or similar (rush rush rush rush, limit limit limit), while your mod, let me enjoy playing the game, as a game, and not as if i'm "working like a manager"
AdvancedSettings and CustomGameSettings are two separate mods and both are available on Nexus.
AdvancedSettings has been updated for the most recent patch to the game but CustomGameSettings needs to be updated.
Right now I'm in the process of switching it over to use a different mod manager instead of Unity mod manager to make installing and updating easier through the Vortex Mod Manager from Nexus.
Once the update is available, there will be new install instructions available.
As for the folder structure, with the Unity mod manager each mod should be in its own mod folder.
For example
/Microtopia/Mods/Mod1/
/Microtopia/Mods/Mod2/
Etc.
Each mod should have an info.json and at least 1 .dll file that is referenced inside the info.json file.
The reason why I wrote today is to make awareness of Hazard infection even after death.
Due to the "-1" (infinite life), after some ants explored, an invisible hazard zone is created. This is not a guaranteed. It occurred where the ants stopped, like getting into a building.
But even if I remove the building, floor, so one, as in there is nothing there, ant's still get infected.
Once I figured out that it might be due to the mod's infinite life, and to quickly test, I removed the mod folder. So all ants die due to lifespan. After a minute or two, I confirmed no more infection when I moved the ants to those "invisible hazard zones". I saved, moved mod back and everything, and sure enough, no more issues.
So again, the "radiated" ants, when they explode (usually because they where inside something like combinator), have a chance to create an invisible radiated area. But again, nothing major. Remove infinite life, and all "invisible ants" are gone for good.
And once again, thank you!
