Puffer Building

How do you use the puffer building to create a new queen? I’ve had it built and I am sending the regal gynes to the tower right next to it but nothing happens. I can’t connect any trails or launch pads to it either. Please help!

The puffer building does nothing. It only exists to act as a resource cost before you can unlock the ancient island scanner.

As many other buildings in this game, the devs didn’t know how to make the game enjoyable, well maybe if you suffer from a mental problem like workaholic or similar? no clue so won't insist on this idea. Instead, they added the puffer, as yet another massive building to take up limited space, forcing players to move resources between islands whether they enjoy it or not. And, of course, they prioritized showcasing a beautiful colony—one where population are constantly dying, but hey, that’s not important. What really matters is building monuments and decorations!/s. Man, I’m almost done with this game and know I won't ever replay it. Anyway, what was I saying? Ah yes, how the devs failed to implement QoL features and similar aspects for many structures that just exist for the sake of it.... you know what, I'm 100% I already said to much (aka comment is not constructive) so will just stop.
