Primary Language Pack Missing
I purchased the game and selected Japanese as my first language to go along with the innitial purchase, I also purchased the spanish dlc..

I cannot get the Japanese language option to show up, only spanish. When I remove Spanish, I get a error stating no language packs installed.

I did a file validation and even reinstalled the game. Still cannot access Japanese.. Help?

Japanese should also show up as DLC just like Spanish. Ensure it is present in the DLC list and its box is checked.

It doesnt though, thats the problem.

To be clear, while the steam store acknolidges I purchased the Japanese pack, it does not show up on my DLC list.

I double checked and the Japanese DLC shows up for me. I haven't bought any DLC, this is just the one that came with Influent.

It's a long shot, but have you tried restarting Steam / your PC? Sometimes I have to do this to make new purchases appear in Steam, though other times even this won't work. It also works for missing / misconfigured DLC sometimes.

Yes, i have. Are the devs on the board here much for support?

Doesn't seem like it. This sounds more like a Steam issue than a Influent issue. I'd contact Valve and ask them to sort out why you don't see the DLC.

Valve directs you to the game developer

Hi, sorry for the delay in support! Been at DreamHack and currently at E3. Could you please give me a list of files located in the Influent_Data/Resources directory in your steamapps/Influent folder? I'm assuming this is on PC?

Yes it's on pc, didn't know you had other platform support. Give me a moment and I'll bring it up on my pc.

I installed this app on two pcs and both have the same end result.. I own the japanese language pack yet when i install the game, it lists only the second language i purchased (spanish).

Looks like Steam resolved it by resetting my purchase registry.. I had to buy it again just now.. I purchased this with the Japanese language pack because I am preparing to move to Japan, I purchased Spanish also because I want to learn to speak my native language after my innitial purchase. It would not let me purchased the Japanese language pack again (tested before to see if there was an error on my part) and then sent help requests to both you and steam. They seem to have resolved it by removing the language pack purchase history and so I just repurchased the Japanese language pack (by itself this time, instead of purchasing it as the bundled purchase in the innitial product). Not pleased I had to purchase it twice, but its whatever, hope your product helps a lot. It looks promissing to me.

Glad to hear it's resolved but sorry to hear you had to resort to purchasing the language pack as DLC. Hopefully Steam will honor a refund for the extra copy of the base game.

No. They kept directing me to you.

Hmm. Can you somehow provide a screenshot of what packages you bought initially that you were unable to get working? I can talk to someone at Steam on your behalf and try to get it sorted for you. I just need to know exactly what you purchased and what you would like a refund for. I myself can't issue refunds due to Steam's handling of funds but I can definitely vouch for you and try to get it resolved if there was a simple misunderstanding of what packages to buy.
