some thoughts about the subject (which is great to talk about IMO) :
-The kitchen "upgrades" on its own when playing on more difficult planets... (like having two friers, two hot-plates, etc... to match the numbers of conveyors belt.) for the record.
But yeah, money now is not very meaningful (just at the beginning to gate against jumping to more advanced planets) and have no utility apart from "buying planets entry". I think this way for now is a sort of "placeholder/backbone" to add thing later IMO. I would lke some "unique planetary reward" (maybe the tips of customer in local metals/money) for focusing/choosing meaningfully a job on a planet to unlock on a catalog something (or to advance throught a mini-gate). A new golden radio? "3 steel-coins, 2 moon-stones, 2 sea-cristals" something like that (to encourage moving through planets in a meaningfull way, some with "weekends" perhaps and the tips are 25/50/75% more frequent etc...). There is room for a lot of things IMO!
=> getting 3 stars on planets to unlock the "secret recipe" is a nice touch already! <3
I like the idea of buying decorations and furnishing the joint! (like the radio on the counter to the right, should be nice to place objects all around the counter on little slots, or sliding them on a line etc...); Add color themes & décorations for the background, some useful tools like auto-responders/bot for clients maybe, auto grabbers... things like that. (the multi-picking for ingredients is being discussed by the devs on another thread FYI).
The dev is feeling its way to a better gameplay little by little it seems.
and the multi picking, its a shame, i think it could be usefull
An other idea for that is to forbide the planet-shift having an ingredient to buy ("you must buy a stack of the new ingredients to start a shift on this planet!"), so that the player could look for a planet without ingredients missing/unpaid (if he hasn't the money in bank) for a money grab... the first/mercury planet would never be "blocked"; because the new ingredients would be always free here (and makes it perfect "roll back to a basic game to advance further next" and give a real reason to max-it-out for profit and further ingredients on other planets... and same thing with the next lesser-planet when mercury is maxed-out! ʕ•ɷ•ʔ).
If the prices are right, it would prevent "planet jumping" too chaotically/easy-going, and give a reason (to strategise a little first and) to go back on lesser/easier planet to advance etc... (there is only the coillection of stars & hidden recipe for that matter).
