Gameplay cycle help
sorry for the dumb question, just trying to get some advice on how often I should stay at a planet before swapping. I usually like getting all the stars in these types of games but is it worth it to go full 5 stars before swapping?

I get to 3 stars + 1-2 work shifts to get the secret recipe before moving.

this is sooooo grindy to get all 5stars in one planet

Not sure about 5 stars, I just hit the 4th star on Mercury and it wants 27,000 points for the 5th star. If you 100% the orders that's 270 orders just to get the last star.

ya im still on the first planet to get 5 stars

For general completion, I'd go as far as getting 3 stars and the local recipe on each planet / moon. There are a few reputation gates, but the ones I've seen so far are low enough that even just doing 2 stars will get you high enough for them.

The grind for 5 stars appears to be just for the achievements (there is a set of achievements for getting 5 stars on each location in each sector)

I would agree on this. I like chasing some of the achievements but this is nuts. The amount of reputation that is given is so completely chintzy that working your way to 5 stars just seems ludicrous.

We're looking at reducing by 30-50% the amount of reputation needed to achieve 4 and 5 stars. We need time to test the rebalancing. I think we will release a patch with this fix in the next few days.

Thanks for considering this.
Just to share my experience, I'm 6.5 hours in game just trying to reach the 5 stars on mercury and i'm sill 4k to go.
And this is with cooking some piles of steaks, breads, ... in advance so I just have to assemble the burgers when the orders arrive

To be honest, I liked how reputation works. Being a "drag" makes it feel you achieved something. People should be working years to get full reputation, so being so dragging is something positive, but it shouldn't affect general gameplay (not being a requirement to unlock main story planets or things like that)

I'm at 3 stars tho, I dunno how much time does it takes to get to 5 stars

See I dont disagree with you at all, despite my previous comment. Its a relaxing ride, but the variety in lets just say most everything isnt there to sustain this game for my estimated 30+ hours to cook through all the planets. Plus you make the assumption it should take years for a restaurants reputation to go up, sure, in real life. We are serving cats and ladies plus some dudes that say meow all the time. We are feeding cats hamburgers. Lets keep this in the video game space, pun intended.

Thank you for taking our concerns into consideration! <3

I think it's awesome that you listen to the community!

On that note a question: would it be possible to add this as an option? Like an option that reduces the reputation needed if you want it like that, or to keep it the way it is now.

I am glad you are looking at the rebalancing of the stars, especially for the first level(s)

Mecury is the "tutorial" level and you shouldn't force players to be on there longer than they have too in order to get 5 stars, I am not sure what the benefits are of getting 5 stars on all levels as I have just started, but the fact that all my current playtime of this game is trying to get 5 stars on the first level shows you that it is getting tedius, I want to move on and progress further in the game and do new things...

It feels like you are artificially inflating the game play.

I don't mind having the challenge or grind later on in the game as thats when I should have all the menu items and have a better idea of what is going on, but the first level just seems crazy how many orders you have to complete just to get the next star.
