Great White - Żarłacz Biały
Hammerhead - Rekin Młot
Tiger - Żarłacz tygrysi
Mako - Ostronos (literally: sharp nose)
Thresher - Kosogon (literally: scythe tail)

Mako : 청상아리 Cheong-Sang-ahri ("the Blue Shark")

Ok, what's with the fox and thresher. I can understand blade-tailed, scythe tail, long shark, but fox? Is there some kind of latin translation involved?

EDIT: nvm, I blame Greece.

The genus and family name derive from the Greek word alopex, meaning fox. As a result, the long-tailed or common thresher shark, Alopias vulpinus, is also known as the fox shark.

Alopias vulpinus (lat). from greek "ἀλώπηξ" and latin "vulpes". Both of them mean "fox".
