Info on the PS4 version?

It was announced a few months back for early 2016,was just wondering if anyone knew if there had been any more info on it yet.

I have never heard about Depth coming to the PS4. Maybe you have it confused with SMITE? If Depth was coming to the PS4 that would be awesome!

Well I'll be darned! Hopefully this will bring lots of newcomers to the game and maybe even Steam! I hope this becomes the new Rocket League!

I can't even imagine this game being cross platform. Console peasan ... players would get rekt hard, keyboard and mouse are far superior to a pad in this game. That would be a bad decision.

Article doesn't mention anything about cross platform play,just that it's going to be released on PS4...And can we not do the whole "console peasants" thing please? It's completely unnecessary,I'm just here hoping for some info.

Either way the game is gonna suck for PS4. Unless... Unless the thrashing is with motion controls, like thrashing the PS4 controller around.

Motion control for the thrashing could be kinda cool,although it could easily get tiresome if you play for too long.......Also just a few hours ago you said that it would be awesome if it came to PS4 and now you say it's going to suck,why the change of heart?

I said awesome because of the advertisement/business aspect of it. It will bring people to the PC version, like Rocket League had done. It also needs major support from big YouTubers. But I was for it, but Ray pointed out some good reasons why it could very well disappoint

Pffft. Dont be silly PC elitists, c`mon youre better than that.
I am a PC only player, and have played with PC for over 20 years,
but I see no reason why Depth couldnt be just as fun and good for consoles as it is for PC.

Cross platform could lose to PC especially as divers (I know as I play Depth with a pad just because its fun that way), but as a standalone for consoles it would work just as fine as it does for PC.
Well, except... Online communities on consoles tend to be even worse than on PC acording to my past experiences...the ammount of ragequitters in Depth for consoles could be something ridiculous.

I didn't mean that it could disappoint. Let me clarify my standing on this.

It is impossible for this game as it is now to be cross platform and it would be a suicide for the PS4 players to buy it if there would be crossplay involved. I think that devs know that too. It most probably will be on separate servers and if all PS4 players will play with each other only, it can be fine since they all have to be playing on a gamepad. There are other options that can make the game more playable on gamepad like tweaking the game itself and changing the controls, shark's speed a little bit of aimboting for divers - I mean those are all possiblities that devs could implement to make the game a better experience for PS4 players. Anyway there are some decent pad players in current Depth as far as I know, they are very rare, but they do exist.

So what will devs do? I don't know, I can just try to imagine, but I really do hope that they will succeed.

BTW sorry about the console peasants thing, it's just a bit of mischievous way to point out that with crossplay they would have unfair chances aka get rekt

because K/D is or at least seems to be superior here.

EDIT: Unless I am wrong and devs will make it crossplay. In which case I would need some solid explaination for this. That's because I already have enough of killing newcomers on PC Depth, it would be just weird to win against console players while thinking that from the start they were handicaped (from my perspective).
