what is the best setup for divers?
When ever there are 2 tanky sharks in the beginning the guns never seem to do enough damage against them until late game how do u counter it

Twin spear pistols, with tagging or toxic and the drag upgrade. This is my preferred.
As for the other pistols, tranquilizing or toxic.
Vision wrecks them. Spam buy regular flares and toss them far from steve out windows etc, and you know where they are before they are close.

Rush gold for and grab an early spear or volley with drag. Go for an early APS to get Heavy Barrel later. Toxic is good for Tanks, so add that to drag, and theyll have a rough time.

^ As everyone above me said

- Spear pistols with drag or toxic
- APS with heavy barrel
- Never undestimate the helpfulness of sonar and flares to get a head start on shooting the shark

Absolutely spear pistols, like the others have said. If you are going up against competent GWs/HHs, the semi auto pistols will be useless. Use nets too if you have good aim, much easier against the big sharks.

When all comes to worse, be the support player and buy the net gun so it prevents from the sharks to chew through your lives faster + its the most effective gun to reward score.

Dpv is the most dangerous piece of diver equipment if ignored by sharks.
Against 2 tanks you'll have the speed advantage. You're not invincible if they play smart so still be careful, and if 1 or both come after you, you can buy your team some respite (or they could focus on 3v2ing at Steve and things may get dicey).
But should you get to safe 2 with 2, 2.5k in the bank, fighting back shouldn't be too hard.

ahh nothing i love more as a GW than a DPVer who doesn't know how to avoid a shark, or waiting for them while my partner herds them towards me :orangeoctopus:

I'm always very sad when I'm playing diver against a high level shark (or two) and one of my newbie teammates starts with a dpv. Might as well bend over and ask for it gentle at that point

only ones worse than that are the DPV'er / Bangstickers who dont' know what they're doing, and CHASE down sharks to try and bang stick them....only to die because they have no idea what they're doing. I feel really bad for the team then, because those guys are usually SUPER persistent and won't give up even after draining tons of tickets

Sometimes when I’m GW and see a diver with dpv I usually get double time and I basically sprint them down lol. Even more funny is when you use goblin on a person using a dpv and you bait them into a trap.

Likewise, I cry when I see newbies buying Spear Pistols
