yeah its a big counter to any shark when people just get on corners to deny any chance to escape, at that point the game becomes just a trade between kills.

As far as a counter goes, I recommend tagging in order to keep track of the real shark when it hits-and-runs. That tag will keep it off your back for several seconds because as long as it's active, the clones won't fool you. Plus the goblin is a little clumsy so if you tag it, you'll have a good chance of seeing and shooting it down as it escapes into open water.
No gold, then. Also, if sharks coordinate their attacks a bit, they will get kills anyway - and they can get, e.g. razor teeth or strong tail and corner camping will not do any good any more.
