The best thing though, if you can, is have at least one person you know who is decent on your team. Tight teamwork and saving each other is the best counter for tigers. They die quick, and not hard to kill before they can kill a diver.
Best of luck.
Yeah, it is a lot harder to carry a PUG of divers. The only people I see who can do it with large success are the top 10s, but even they are rarely solo diving.
Sure, you can hear them and you know the direction they're approaching from, but while invis the lunge is impossible to see, and therefore impossible to dodge. Provided it's a smart Tiger (or anyone who has used it for more than 2 rounds) they'll shift until they're close and then lunge before you can dodge. Are you saying there's another way of listening for the lunge?
Gear wise, a sensor gun is pretty handy since, if revealed, it might make the tiger have to waste its E to evade the reveal and reposition itself.
What do you mean? I almost exclusovely solo dive
You have transcended. Rules and trends need not apply
Its a good trick to learn. Makes dancing with the sharks on a DPV very fun
For weapons, 2x Pistols with Toxic, Speargun with Toxic or ADS/HB APS with Toxic are what I use. Netgun helps too.
Depnding on the lighting, Tiger can be very hard to see when Cloaked. 5 Seconds is a long time for a competetive game. Most encounters/fights are 2-3 seconds.
5 secs is a lifetime to a good shark. A good one will cloak on the way in so you never see him coming, let alone for the lunge. Dark skin (battle scarred/specimen) + maps like crude/breach means they're not just translucent, but completely invisible (at least on my screen). I've played with the brightness and settings, but can't find one that really makes a difference. Looks like I'll continue to work on my hearing.
