Blizzard text says "10 damage 3 times"; this should be perfect to take down the fire orbs (which all have exactly 30 health). However, the total damage to each orb is 15. I only see that one number so I don't know if it's 5x3 or 15 in one hit, but I only see a single instance on the screen/screen flash of one hit. Regardless, my winning strategy was to ignite a fire orb (???? meme here) so I could kill it with a spell in one hit next turn. Maybe this is intended but certainly felt wrong so listing it here.
On the first puzzle, he became unresponsive when I got the imp skull and tried to use it on him. Had to replay to that point again.
After killing the Archivist, Raven tells that Djinn should know how to repel darkness, but when I went back to Djinn, he is unresponsive.
This seems to be a pretty big game stopper.
- Reloading / Restarting the game always shows tutorial texts upon opening inventory
- The stories in the storybook get crossed out after defeating the appropriate enemy. However some story names don't get crossed out and it also got reset entirely after a while (when entering the next level I believe).
- During the fight with the archivist I was able to move around freely during combat-mode once. I remember clicking the left mouse button erratically while pressing the space button several times to skip the dialogue.
- I can confirm the blizzard spell damage. I noticed it during the Djinn fight on the flame orbs, which I could destroy with another flame spell instead of the supposed ice spell.
- After collecting the chained tome, using it on the Djinn does nothing (no reaction). Not sure if I'm supposed to do anything else with the item.
- I remapped the Yorick-Button but the in-game ui always shows to press "F" instead of the remapped button.
- When changing an area (with loading screen in between), the highlighted item in the item bar at the bottom gets reset.
- It is possible to click on an entry in the menus (e.g. the pause menu) several times during the fade out animation. When clicking multiple times on "Exit to main menu" it results in the loading screen flip through different artworks quickly. I did this now once with "Continue" and then with "Exit to main menu" again and the game crashed.
- Djinn really is a buggy mess. I was given a hint to get back to him but he is unresponsive again. I assume he is supposed to give me another riddle but I can't even get him to do it. I beat the archivist, opened the shortcut back to the library, found the crank and used it to lower a chandelier and then I went back to Djinn.
I actually was wondering if the second laser puzzle was bugged because I was able to move the blue crystal with ice magic and I thought I could use that to open both doors that clearly need to be opened with the laser, but as soon as I had opened the shortcut back to library I wasn't able to move the blue crystal anymore. Instead I got the hint to get back to Djinn, but as I mentioned he is completely unresponsive again.
I have another save right before the fight against the Archivist so maybe if I beat him again Djinn isn't bugged, but I really haven't got much interest in fighting him again especially knowing the bug might not even be fixed.
Same here. I also moved the blue crystal with ice magic first, until it was not moving anymore and pointed the laser at it afterwards. The second door to the right stayed closed because of that and maybe that is preventing us from continuing the game. Good catch!
EDIT: After loading an old save, I can now confirm that this is indeed the case. It is extremely easy to softlock the game in that second laser puzzle by using the ice magic on the ice crystal when there is no laser pointed at it. In order to progress correctly it is very important that the laser is pointing at the blue crystal first. Then use the ice magic on the blue crystal once to unlock the door to the right, and once more to unlock the door to the library. Very bad game design.
I still was not able to continue the story though! Behind the door to the right are some shadows and the wand prompt indicating to use some magic on them. Raven comments herself this time, that she needs to talk to the Djinn. I then walked to the Djinn and he was still unresponsive. I got the tome from the library and tried talking to him again, still unresponsive. I even used the time orb in the room with the archivist, traveled back in time to the unbeatable version of the archivist, walked all the way back to the Djinn: still unresponsive. I do have a "Metal Bar" in my inventory. Anbody knows what to use it on?
So that door beside the beginning of the laser puzzle? You may not have noticed it even, because if you didn't have the metal bar, you couldn't open that door until you had it. There was no fanfare about this.
Thanks! I hadn't figured that out either. It's basically a shortcut. Not necessary at least at the point I'm at, but I guess it made the travel to the crystals shorter.
Yeah, I can confirm it now too.
I had a save right before the battle with the Archivist so I was able to fight the Archivist and do that puzzle again. Indeed if you'll use magic to the blue crystal before aiming the laser to it, the game reacts as if the laser is pointing at it and makes Raven comment as if the door is now open. Basically I guess in the game's code it only checks if you have used the magic on the crystal enough times and not at all if the laser is pointed at the correct door, but then the door still checks if the laser is pointing at it.
Djinn is still unresponsive to me too. So while that did help with the blue crystal bug, it didn't help with the Djinn bug at all. So it seems the bug with Djinn has happened before the Archivist fight and before doing the crystal puzzle. Perhaps it happens when you pick up the scroll in the library. I'm pretty sure I don't have a save before getting the scroll anymore though, so I'm probably not able to finish the game anymore without starting it from the beginning again and that's something I'm not willing to do anymore.
This game is a buggy mess and has definitely not gone through proper testing. It's also a shame that the developers have disappeared somewhere and there is no-one from the team to address these worries and letting us know if they are working on bug fixes.
I'm giving the devs the benefit of a weekend to hopefully read and address these issues before I start thinking they are derelict-- working week starts tomorrow again and they released close to a weekend.
I save obsessively so I can confirm that in my saves, at least, just loading from a save and continuing from it AFTER YOU BEAT THE DJINN causes the bug (you also get the tutorial for the inventory again at this point). That's with my limited 5 saves to test but simply loading a save seems to render him inactive after that point.
Try it, see how ways you can die while waiting for a patch.

Such a shame - I really hope that this gets patched as I was really enjoying this game.
FIngers crossed it gets fixed!
Yeah that's what I thought too. Good to have a confirmation.
Initially I had only used one save slot and I saved and loaded after beating Djinn and got the bug. After I started from the beginning I made sure to NOT save and load after beating Djinn (which made getting up to the crystal a bit nerve wrecking) and that helped me.
I wonder where the point of no return with the second Djinn bug might be. I've now tried to fix it by loading a save right before fighting the Architect and then made sure to not save or load the game before reaching Djinn but that didn't help so the point of no return must be at an earlier point.
