When devs actually listen and do what people expect to improve their software, the amount of damage from piracy is small. one of the best examples was and still is "the witcher 3":
it was pirated, but pirates couldnt keep the pace with the free updates and patches their devs offered for those who owned the game (the pirated version always ended outdated), and then the fair price and discounts made the pirated copies less attractive foor those coonsidering it as an option, which in the end kept their sales strong.
Another example of devs listening: "a hat in time" and "shovel knight"; the first one offers a lot of bonuses and the possibility for more user made content after getting their dllcs, and the second offered "free" extra content to fullfill promises they made when they were kickstarting their game: that extra "free" content keppt their game relevant, so rather than offering it as expensive dlcs, it allowed them to keep their original price and good sales.
I also had this happen, it took over my mic, and repeated "TRIAL VERSION" in a robotic voice when I would try to speak. I was in a work zoom when this happened. I wasn't even running Animaze, just FaceRig.
I uninstalled Animaze and it stopped.
Already uninstall and install back and still does not work :(
