Aside reading the documentation (we assume you did that already ) please also take a look at how the official samples are organized for inspiration, as the official samples can trigger their custom poses and custom animation without problems:

i want to create motion file with cubism editor 3 pro version but nothing clear
I think your case was different, because this topic was about I forgot to 'Enable Custom Behavior' so Facerig can play specified Cubism *.mtn files.
But it's worth checking out in case you can't get custom animation produced by Animator to play.
