Could you please provide the following:
1. the performance you are trying to export (.rpl file)
2. the settings you used for exporting
3. the <steamInstallDir>\SteamApps\common\FaceRig\VP.log after you have exported
4. the exported video
Have you tried different export settings? Do all export setups provide a half green video?

Can you try playing the exported videos with the VLC player
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html
(it is a free video player for windows) instead of the Windows media player?
If it does play it correctly then it most likely it is an issue with Windows Media Player (though you can also use VLC as a media converter to other formats).
On a side note: Webm is a fairly new format (Google is one of its main supporters); it is pretty future proof as far as capabilities go, but it make take a bit for all the players to recognize it without quirks.
What format does FaceRig export to?
Even if the video editing software is older you can use the free VLC player to convert the webm format to any other format and then import it in the video editing software.
If you want to read more about the webm format here is the webpage http://www.webmproject.org/
Works just fine using VLC to playback. Probably just a player issue then.
I also tried to import the video into Corel Video Studio Ultimate 7 and it worked just fine! Edited smooth as butter. (See screen shot of video in timeline.)

Would be nice if you could place a solid green background behind the Avatars so you could also import them into an editing software and do Chroma Key. Maybe you can and I just haven't found it yet.
Would also be nice to be able to export in popular formats like MPG MPG4 and MOV

:)
AWESOME!
The reason why we cannot export in the more popular formats that you mentioned is codec licensing issues. To be safe on the legal side we need to stick with webm. :)
Got it. I figured it was a licenses issue. I have worked in video production and TV for over 20 years, and enjoy participating in software development when I can. I'm happy to help!
If I come across anything else I'll help work on it.
