That being said, even most chinese no-brand webcams that can do a decent resolution and 30fps work well with FaceRig. Will wait for users to suggest other webcams though as I really don't want to seem like I'm advertising Logitech (they're just the ones I personally use at home so they come to mind easily)
It's for now the best that you can get, but it costs 75$ (I paid 65€ on amazon.de)!
And there are 5 or even 6 logitech in the Top 10!!!
If logitech should get a award, then for their webcams (and that is the only component that I have from them)
Hurrah for new tracking :D
There are actually settings in the program that will help you with the twitching caused by grainy video input (but you will sacrifice some responsiveness):
Upping the value of the "smoothing" slider for head rotation, translations and on most expressions and on retargeting, should give exactly the effect that you are looking for : smoother animation, BUT it does indeed come with a bit lower responsiveness.
Typical video cam sensors also produce less grain in stronger light, so you can maybe you can also try that :).
