Crashes when useing it on OBS (solved) Thanks!!!
The crash has happened to me many times, At least 20 so far, Half of that time it also crashs OBS also. I also not happy with this way of making a discussion on steam. Y cnat we use the forums for this. Why do u have to include my steam in this. I also am not happy that my last post was delete by a admin. I was not informed in the post to use the correct format. But with no info my post was deleted. Not the way to treat u customers.

I am not a fan of all this paste bin stuff I could not get the whole Vp.log file on there cause of a restrition to size. So i broke the Vp.log file into two paste.

I like the product but i can not keep useing it if it keeps crashing the way it does, I stream and when it crashes my stream that it bad for me. I also know of about 5 streamers haveing the same issue. I hope you are able to fix the problem. Having to spend 2 hours getting all this info to you , making 2 post about it now is not fun with the amount of use i have got out of the program.

Now to the problem. It happen alot when alt tabbing out of a game to change things on my stream. But that it has happen other times also. I will just be adjusting things on OBS or use my Bot panel and it will crash. i hope you are able to figure this out cause i like the product and my stream likes it to. But i cant have the problem crashing ever 30minutes or so. Thanks

Hi,

Firstly, we use steam forums because we consider reporting issues here is easier. The second reason we mainly answer and encourage everyone to post here is that we need a single sink to gather up all bugs, it is more efficient to manage them this way, though we don't ignore any of the requests/questions/issues posted on our website. There was no post deletion in your case, you can find it here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/274920/discussions/2/611701999519468390/ . Your issue has been answered, I'll answer here regarding this post alone.

Secondly, regarding the crashes you are reporting, we need the callstack output when FaceRig crashes (if there is a callstack), and the VP.log exactly after that. Note that the log gets overwritten every time you launch the application, so we cannot track previous crashes.

For a better streaming experience, I would like to suggest a few things:
1. Make sure you update to the 'nextversion' branch, it usually has major bug fixes.
2. Launch FaceRig using DX11 (if you don't already do so) - go to Launcher Options and check the DX11 (experimental) checkbox -. Using DX11, the renderer will not lose device context (in simpler words - the black screen when alt-tabbing will not occur) and there is also a high performance gain (about 25%-50% than DX9).

Also one more thing is is there a way to save the place where the avatar is placed? the Postion and tilt?

OBS tends to mess up event handling of any video input source. Does that with regular webcams as well if you don't have one with a really tolerant driver.

So what is the Fix then?

Right now i can not use the Program it spikes my CPU to 100% and can not play any games

Did you already try that?

I have done all of that it is still haveing probelms when i stream

Hi

Let's make a little summary:
1. CPU spikes to 100%. We are going to investigate this issue. Till then let's figure out some quick fixes:
* make sure OBS is not the CPU hog. On a machine of your caliber, FaceRig with DX11 renderer should be at max 20-25% with all features ON (tracking, lipsync, broadcasting) and the most "resource expensive" avatar (Danny).
* go to General Options dialog > Performance tab and tweak the values of the three different loops that run FaceRig. I suggest setting Main App Loop Rate to 30, Tracker Loop Rate to 15, Lipsync Loop Rate 11.
* follow this guide http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=307220066 on Gaming and Streaming with FaceRig

2. Any crashes that occur need additional information in order for us to correctly diagnose and solve the issues. Remember to provide:
* the callstack
* the VP.log right after the crash

ok ty for ur guys suggestion about to stream these new settings
DreDogin Apr 6, 2015 @ 10:47pm
I am still haveing some type of bottle necking. Cpu was close to 100% but was normally around 85 to 95%. I had to close face rig to play the game. I reduced the game setting done also to help still a problem.
DreDogin Apr 12, 2015 @ 8:20am
I still can not use the program the Setting that have been suggested are helping. The CPU is not maxing out. Face RIG useage is betweeen 12 and 20% at times. But I am haveing some Jamm of the info some where. When useing Face rig in game the Game will lag bad. In any game it will cause the game not to recieve info fast. To move forward is fine but there is a delay then I let go of the keyy to move and it will not stop moveing for 3 seconds. This happens only when useing face rig. I took face rig off my OBS and still preformed the same. Iam as this moment thinking it may bea usb issue. Its a brand new MOBO. I am going to try moving the camera to a diff USB and reinstalling my software. To see if that helps. Any ideas?

DreDogin : Try disabling "Hooked keys" feature from FaceRig.
Unfortunately hooking the keys can cause an input lag. ( this is the most likely cause for your issue)
