Firstly, we use steam forums because we consider reporting issues here is easier. The second reason we mainly answer and encourage everyone to post here is that we need a single sink to gather up all bugs, it is more efficient to manage them this way, though we don't ignore any of the requests/questions/issues posted on our website. There was no post deletion in your case, you can find it here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/274920/discussions/2/611701999519468390/ . Your issue has been answered, I'll answer here regarding this post alone.
Secondly, regarding the crashes you are reporting, we need the callstack output when FaceRig crashes (if there is a callstack), and the VP.log exactly after that. Note that the log gets overwritten every time you launch the application, so we cannot track previous crashes.
For a better streaming experience, I would like to suggest a few things:
1. Make sure you update to the 'nextversion' branch, it usually has major bug fixes.
2. Launch FaceRig using DX11 (if you don't already do so) - go to Launcher Options and check the DX11 (experimental) checkbox -. Using DX11, the renderer will not lose device context (in simpler words - the black screen when alt-tabbing will not occur) and there is also a high performance gain (about 25%-50% than DX9).
I will try to use it again soon. Then send another crash report, useing the sugessted setting. Thanks agian for your response.
Did you already try that?
Let's make a little summary:
1. CPU spikes to 100%. We are going to investigate this issue. Till then let's figure out some quick fixes:
* make sure OBS is not the CPU hog. On a machine of your caliber, FaceRig with DX11 renderer should be at max 20-25% with all features ON (tracking, lipsync, broadcasting) and the most "resource expensive" avatar (Danny).
* go to General Options dialog > Performance tab and tweak the values of the three different loops that run FaceRig. I suggest setting Main App Loop Rate to 30, Tracker Loop Rate to 15, Lipsync Loop Rate 11.
* follow this guide http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=307220066 on Gaming and Streaming with FaceRig
2. Any crashes that occur need additional information in order for us to correctly diagnose and solve the issues. Remember to provide:
* the callstack
* the VP.log right after the crash
Unfortunately hooking the keys can cause an input lag. ( this is the most likely cause for your issue)
