Using Face Rig for Youtube Webcam?
I was planning on using face rig for a webcam for youtube instead of my face. I just looked through the idea and many obstacles came in the way. I am a small cahnnel who just plays games with no ads or paid subscriptions and was just wondering if i had to have the pro edition still? Also, I use action to record my games and was wondering if i could use action to record face rig and the game i am playing? My last obstacle was that i use windows movie maker and i heard that it does not support face rig files...Is there a way to convert the files to to compatible with windows movie maker? I really like this idea and would love to do it...Thanks for your help!

1. Even if you use ads or paid subscription, you can still use Classic as long as the revenue you make from that channel is under 500 USD per month. So yes you can use the classic, don;t need the Pro.

2. We do not know particularities of the " Action" software. The FaceRig Virtual webcam should work with anything that normally uses a webcam, as long as you have toggled on broadcasting from the advanced interface in facerig. So do not try to capture the content of the facerig window (like you do with games), instead simply tweak a bit your existing setup by using the Facerig Virtual Webcam as a source in the streaming software instead of your real webcam. We know for sure it works with OBS.

3. Facerig outputs two types of files. rpl which are an internal animation format( can only be loaded in facerig) , and webm which is a common, free, future-proof, modern video format supported by Google and YouTube and many modern companies as an open alternative to older codecs, which are covered by tons of patents and legal disputes to the point that no small company is willing to license them anymore ( you need a fully staffed legal department to even consider supporting h264/mp4 ) .
It can also export a video as a bmp image sequence ( but you have to mux in the sound manually after that) .

If windows movie maker has remained a bit behind the times and slow to add support to VP8/VP9,webm, then as an alternative you can use the free VLC player https://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html to convert webm files in mp4 or other common formats, and you can later use those in moviemaker directly .
