What software is neccesary?

I just purchased facerig and started to launch it, it asks to download a bunch of random stuff onto my computer. Is any of this neccesary and what should I say no to. I don't want random software on my computer that is meaningless

If you mean all that first-time run installs then you should install all of them or else some functionalities may not work as expected.

Xiph.org codec is needed to export your performance as video.
Facerig Virtual Camera driver is needed to make Facerig as selectable option in any applications that uses webcam like Skype, or for streaming purpose like OBS Studio.

What Sue said is correct. FaceRig won't install anything other than the needed drivers and codecs that ensure that FaceRig will run without issues. If you do cancel one or more of the first-time run installs you'll have to go browsing though the FaceRig folder to install them manually because you might run into issues with different functionalities.
