Lag while using Facerig in Twitch streaming
I am sorry if I post at the correct forum. I have problems in using Facerig in my Twitch streaming as it causes a significant lagging in the video.

There is not such a big deal (though some decreased FPS sometimes) while recording with OBS alone when no streaming. But when I stream it in Twitch, it is quite lag as seen when I replay the video.

I do not know if there is any relations with my CPU or only the connection (Wifi) issue. My CPU is Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3470S CPU @ 2.90GHz with an average score mark of 6198 in cpubenchmark.net

Hope someone can offer any help or answers. Thanks a lot :)

Hi,

First, the refresh rate of the application is set to 60 fps by default. Turning it down to 30, or even 20-25, could greatly help as it clears some CPU usage. Go to the Advanced UI (last option from left to right on the top bar), General Options dialog, Performance tab, and change Main App Frame Cap. You could also change the Face Tracker refresh rate, though I don't recommend it, to 20-25, and the Audio Lipsync refresh rate to 11 (cannot go lower that 11).
Make sure you are running FaceRig on DX11, it will clear some of the CPU usage, on some avatars the CPU usage is half of the DX9 version. Change this option from the Launcher, Render API.
Change some graphics options to clear some GPU *and* CPU resources utilization. Change the render resolution to 640x360 (try out different values to see what suits your needs) and the shadow map quality (go to Low) from General Options dialog, Graphics tab. You can also tweak the Fur Quality, Skin Shading Quality and Use Animated Normals, to balance performance and visual level to your needs.

Actually, I already run FaceRig on DX11 and change the FPS to 30 as well as render resolution to 640x360 before asking the issue.

The thing is, I cannot find the location to change the Face Tracker refresh rate and the Audio Lipsync refresh rate.

Besides, for the Fur Quality, Skin Shading Quality and Use Animated Normals, the default setting is 0 for all 3 elements. Do I have to make any changes?

By the way, thanks a lot for quick response :)
