Question about saving Configurations...
Is there a way to auto load all of your customizations (background color, etc) and options (resolution etc) on startup, and save the config on close, because everytime I start Facerig it goes to the default settings, and I have to re-rig (pun intended) everything each time I start the app. I know you can save the individual settings manually and just load them after the app starts , but that can be inconvenient, especially if the app crashes mid stream. I just want to start the app and have it set up the previous way I had it everytime I launch it (like I do with OBS). Is this possible and am I overlooking something obvious?

Hi.

Right now auto save is only available for Advanced Face Tracking Calibration settings. We are already working on auto save/load of all the settings in FaceRig. We will make this feature available soon.

Cool thanks, kinda figured but wasn't sure if it was just a missing feature or if I was doing anything wrong.

We are also working on making the app not crash ( or at least crash less) in mid-stream :). That is important too :)

How soon is "soon"? I'm new to FR and would very much like to load all previous settings for a reproducible setup. I notice the above comment was made over a year ago. Is this feature now in the app? If so, where?

Thanks much,

Nice to hear you working on this because this has been a little annoying for me aswell! I'm almost finished on my own facerig avatar (got half of the visimes left)... It's a really cool software!

Hi Shotster, Zefnoly,

The feature is already available. Switch to Advanced UI from upper menu > General Options from right menu > Preferences tab > General tab > Autosave switch. Turn it on. All avatar and background customizations are then saved on app closing and when you switch between avatars. Hope this helps :).

Yeah but it wont save the "switch stream colors" option. i need to switch that on everytime i'm going to use the facerig video output or i will get negative colors...

Well a bug with the swap stream colors setting not saving correctly flagged in November 2015 is definitely not the same thing with the missing autosave feature from Early Access back in August- September 2014 , (those settings were indeed added to the autosave pool in the mean-time :).

These two are not the same thing, the new bug shouldn't be posted on a necroed thread about an missing feature that was added in the mean-time, and overall bug reports shouldn't be posted in General Discussions .

Locking the thread, and creating a new thread for the new bug in the proper section of the forum. For any new bugs that you find, I invite everyone to do the same :D.
