FaceRig only has access to your webcam while it is opened otherwise it should not be available as a default camera.

This Problem Happens Even When It's Closed!

This is the way Windows handles the devices installed (video and audio sources), we cannot do anything about it. You'll have to manually pick the desired camera wherever you need it or uninstall the FaceRig Virtual Camera, although you'll not be able to broadcast FaceRig to Skype/Hangouts/OBS/etc anymore.

Yep, like Sazzaj mentions, hopefully you should be able to select from your choice of Webcam (either your default one or Facerig's) from within the program settings you're using at the time.

If for some reason you still can't get it to work, then I might suggest that when you want to force Windows to only use your default webcam, then you could go to your Windows Device Manager and under the Imaging Devices you could try to temporarily choose to Disable the Facerig Virtual Camera (right-click on it then choose Disable) while leaving your default webcam still active. Then when you want to again use Facerig, choose to Enable the Facerig Virtual Camera from the device manager in the same way (of course by choosing the Enable option).

Good luck. :)

Or, another option is to re-install / update the drivers for the ectuall webcam while ALL programs that COULD use the webcam are closed (this includes web-browsers, skype, facerig, etc.etc.) and then restarting the PC before launching the application.
This usually makes the real camera the default once more.

@FurRiffic : Yes, of course you're right about that. Reinstalling and/or updating according drivers and then restarting PC is also highly recommended.
