According to the GDPR legislation we will process logs and other files that might contain sensitive information only if they are sent to us by mail, so please send us the log at info[at]facerig[dot]com.
You can find it at <steamInstallDir>\steamapps\common\FaceRig\. Copy the file and attach it in your mail. Note that the log gets rewritten every time you launch FaceRig, so make sure you copy the contents just after you experience the issue.
At first glance, (you say that sometimes the tracker does pick up your face, and that sometimes it doesn't) this failure to track might be due to the quality of the webcam - which is an integrated camera, in this case - make sure that your face is properly lit.
