Webcam not showing up... wtf.
Im kind of annoyed and lowkey about to refund this It looks fun an cool and all but its not picking up my camera at all, no its not some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ dollar store usb webcam its a proper EOS Cannon Rebel SL1 DSLR Camera that ive used thousands of times over and over with zero issue on this computer and for no reason at all its not working, send help.

From the UI+ (Advanced) menu, Advanced Tracking Configuration, under Input Type ensure it's set to Webcam (not Video) and then from the Webcam drop-down menu option, is your webcam listed? If so make sure it's selected. Even if it was already selected, from the drop-down menu try selecting it again.

Yeah no, all of its alright and its just not showing up at all :/, its just saing "No device"

Hi, FaceRig works with webcams, it can't pick up DSLR's.

Are you using some sort of virtual webcam software such as SparkoCam to use the DSLR as a regular webcam on your system? What's the software called? Does it work with Skype/Discord or other apps with video calling capabilities or that use webcams as input?

The only thing I use is EOS Utility the default software for using the DSLR camera.

You haven't answered the question regarding Skype/Discord. Do these apps or any software that uses webcams as input, besides the proprietary EOS Utility which gives you remote shooting capabilities, work with the camera?

I have the EOS Utility installed on a personal system and judging by what it installs, there's no virtual webcam device or any Direct Show filter, so in theory the Utility app isn't enough to use the DSLR camera as webcam. I must be missing something and cannot currently test out EOS Uitlity connected to the camera and Skype, I have no access to a wired network.

I dont really use any third party software it just allows me to use the webcam as is. I acutally just did a discord call and used it just fine.

Can you please provide dxdiag info? We haven't got the exact device so we can't really test this kind of setup. Getting the dxdiag info is simple, hit Windows key + R, type "dxdiag", hit return key, let it run and then save all information to a text file. Copy the contents of the text file to pastebin.com (no registration required) and post the link here.
