Warfare Legacy Collection

Warfare Legacy Collection

It's nice but it needs work (feedback)
Well. I think Warfare 1917 is my favorite browser game of all time, as it is the only one I played through many times. I remember the horrible framerate drops I would get and the row resolution, both of which didn't stop me from loving the thing to the point that I would daydream and plan about making a similar game myself.

Seeing it in glorious fullscreen in high resolution, voice acted briefing, pretty effects and actual moving tank tracks is a treat, but I encountered some issues in the few minutes of demo that I tried out:
- very slow camera pan (though not really a problem thanks to the slow pace of the game), which is limited to mouse pan only... unless if I missed some hotkeys
- on the topic of hotkeys, I haven't seen any settings nor tooltips about which ones are available
- oddly smooth soldier animations that lack "snappiness" from the original version
- AI is still struggling to the point that it sends lone squads of machinegunners over the top (fingers crossed that hard difficulty changes AI priorities and not just giving it extra resources)
- the XP bonus I get from quickly winning a battle is still minimal. It seems that, just like in the original, holding ground and slaughtering the enemy is the only good way of getting those much needed upgrade points
- Two points for +10% entrenchement bonus? Cmon. Since the game is being remade, why not redesign those lackluster upgrades and make them interesting?

That's pretty much it. The game is still fun to play, keep at it.

I also would like to be able to pan the camera with hotkeys.
i kinda hope we get the ability to use both eras at the same time.

That would actually be awesome
Yeah, it lacks the charm of the original game, needs slight more polishing which I think it will be polished by the time it comes out.
