Can't pick up items from Corpse

I killed a dear and when I tried to pick up the antlers I dropped them. If I look away from the deer I can see that there is an item to pick up. But when I look directly at the dear and mouse over it gives me the option to search it but nothing is there and shows (searched) I made a 20 second video to show the problem.

There's a dedicated button to cycle between items on the ground and containers near each other. You can also shift-click or control-click (depends on setup) to instantly move items between containers with no chance of fumbling and dropping.

Shift clicking nor control clicking did not work but noticed control gives you a step back maneuver. Thank for the information and trying to help but that does not fix my issue.

You may benefit from checking your control settings. ^^'

The button I was referring to cycles between different items and containers on the ground. That symbol near the container/corpse open icon means that there are things to cycle through.

Nah I don't need to check controller settings. It was the "E" button that was required to be used.
