I would like to point out that many people have just started playing the most recent version, or have not even booted it up yet. They are likely going to try playing and forming strategies before they have a solid opinion on which location is the best.

I usually stick to the hideout in the "Forest" because its next to Key places (Trying not to spoil too much). Most of the resources around there are plentiful, it has more rarer items aswell and its also like a bridge way between "Old Woods" and "Meadows".

But be advise that hideout 2 can be harder to defend as there are more windows to blockade and doors to fix, so make sure you have enough nails and planks.

Sorry buddy I'm having hard time understanding what you are trying to say

Yeah,i was trying to say;

The Hideout 1 have a room with no windows,you can block the door with wardrobe+furniture,and monster can't enter.But,moving the wardrobe for get out/block the door take a lot of time,i need to come back faster to the house because of this,so,i want to know if other hideout are better(less dangerous,no need of barricading yourselft with 100000 wardrobe,close to ressource,and,with no worm-the green thing spawning in the 1st hideout,they are annoying as hell-)

Hideout 2 which is at the "Forest" has good resources around it with key areas but the hideout has more windows and doors to barricade and I'm guessing hideout 3 which is in the "Old Woods" will be twice as hard to defend.

I guess it is designed to make sure you don't turtle yourself in your hideout to the point monsters can't get in completely.

In hideout 1 you probably won't face many hard invasion since it is in the starting area but from my experience, on the later days like day 5+ savages and chompers are more frequent and they start breaking down my barricade and moving my wardrobe.

Its never taken that much time pushing and pulling the wardrobe to get in and out, it only requires a little openning to go through.

For the green poison things, they spawn in any hideout I believe because I've had it in hideout 2, still haven't figured out what causes it to spawn, just use a dab of gasoline next to it then light it with a match to take care of it.

The worm infestation enters your hideout due to red beetles burrowing into your base, or from you tracking it in from elsewhere. You can burn it away with gasoline or a Molotov.

Oh you can cause the spread of the green infection in your hideout yourself just from walking around? how would you know if you step on something nasty lol or are you talking about stepping onto another green goo infestation?

Most players have confirmed that merely walking into Piotrek's garage and then heading to your hideout that night guarantees a worm infestation the next day. So many people experiencing the same occurrence by pure chance is pretty long odds, so we can safely say that it can be spread by the player character or caused by scripted events.

Also, the worms' new squealing disturbs me more than anything else in the game.
