What are all the game changing decisions?
I'm in my first play though. I was given an achievement for the Wolf's path, so I think it's safe to assume the game would have played out differently had I given a certain something to the violin kid instead.

I'm in the swamp. I've cleared lake, tower, elephants, junkyard, quarry amoung other small stuff. I can't for the life of me figure out how to get into sawmill.

I'm basically ready to jump down the cripples oxygen dependant path and I'm concerned that's the end of the game loll.

So back to my original question, is my ending set in stone or are there other choices to make?

How many endings are there?

Should I keep hoarding ammo or so I be packing firepower when I do what the cripple set me out to do?

Advice without spoilers would be awesome

Whenever there is a location that seems inaccessible (and impregnable) it is safe to assume that it either has a more prominent role in the alternative story path or it will become accessible at a later stage in your current story path.

Mazy I just finished my first play through. Sheesh what an outstanding game.

I have a couple questions. For anyone else reading, these are some HEAVY spoilers.

1. I finished by burning the tree. Going thru everything at the epilogue, I realized there were a massive amount of decisions to make when reaching the city. My save file is still accessible and starts me back at the epilogue, outside the city. I also went thru and received the bliss achievement.

Even with this new play through I feel like there is still A LOT I don't know. Who am I? When I find a man at the tree holding a metal object, he has a necklace i remember seeing somewhere. My character says "He's one of us". Will I find out who this "us" is by the varrying endings in the epilogue, or does this information become accessible thru different paths other than the wolf path I got an achievement for?

2. The daily trader that I was friends with was abruptly killed when I entered the swamp. Did I do something wrong? I remember comments about my character recognizing his face, and I pulled an underground passage key out of his pocket, but it looked weird. His mask also had either the word Liar or Traitor scratched onto it. Will I ever find out his story? I remember him saying we should stay in the second or third hideout, did I leave early before completing something?

3. I spared the Dr's life and allowed him to come to the swamp with me. maybe 5-6 days in the swamp, I didn't recognize him at all and swung an axe at him. Like he looked like a savage, and when I hovered my mouse over him to loot the body, it said "Doctor", and he had the 3 normal items on him. Was this a game changing action?

4. When I reached the road home, I found the cripple crawling toward the city and then stopped halfway. Is there anything I can do to help him? One of the statues or whatever those things are in the road that look like people looked just like him, a man with his arms extended out with no legs. I'm I crazy or was there some information I was suppose to find there? Was the tree sending clones to the city, and the clones froze when I killed the tree? If so, why was I seeing clones in the swamp before the tree was killed? Will I ever find out what these statues or clones are?

Some great lore related questions. I agree it is an awesome game, both mechanically and lore wise (unfortunately I am bad at answering lore related questions lol ..but ok at answering game mechanics questions).

1, 2 & 4) Some of these things are definitely open to individual interpretation but also some questions will be answered by playing the other path(s), experiencing other endings, unlocking different achievements, etc.. there's lots of small details to explore.

I think there are some extensive lore guides out there that discuss a lot of this stuff in great depth (also discord has a lot of lore discussion).

3) This can happen to a lot, accidentally slaying an NPC before their entire story has played out. These kind of decisions (or accidents) are only game changing in subtle ways (but still interesting to let play out). Sometimes it can take a few playthroughs to observe all the different outcomes of an NPC's story.
