In august2023 Acid Wizard stated that they're going for a "vacation" for 5-10 years due to unsustainable work/life balance, but probably will return with sequel once they find a publisher. For the following year the closest to polish-survival-horror theme is Holstin(you can actually try a demo on steam)

This game did take a turn on the group. I don't think they will do this again.
Darkwood on Nintendo Switch was a another company who did it...

They should absolutely do this. Do this or they should try to make a movie out of this story, some fans have made some pretty good thrown together work in particular Rise and Shine! Productions on Youtube. Just imagine how cool it would be if a bigger budget was used to produce a movie about Darkwood.

they better man up to it and make a sequel, their page still says "we make weird games".
But i guess i understand the problem, it doesn't excuse them though:)
They can get a publisher whenever they want.
I just came here because The dead await released and it has a similar atmosphere to darkwood when it comes to certain mechanics but it's a different game. Still, shows how much a game i never finished impressed me:)
