You have failed him, Meat.
Now he won't show you where the Doctor is. Because of that, you must kill the Hag who reeks of chickens to progress the story.
Curiosity is a first step into hell.
I'm convinced there was a time where if you used the key yourself, wolfman would not be happy (the NPC's knew you used the key). As such I concluded that there were always 3 options.. give the key to wolf, give the key to musician or use the key yourself (and you couldn't do a combination of 2 of those options because whoever uses the key exhausts the use of it)..
However, later I noticed that players would often say that they used the key for themselves and then gave it away after (to either party). I remember thinking that must be a bug because that wasn't how I remembered it.. but I did some re-testing and noticed they were right.
So now I'm wondering if, in v1.4, has it gone back to the way I remember it? where using the key yourself forfeits your chance of giving it away (and choosing a quest line).. or are you still able to use it yourself without any of the NPC's realising..
..and the real question is, which one of those options is the intended behaviour?
And yeah, opening the door yourself and then giving a key to someone is definitely a bug.
