how do you use the battery for the flashlight

While you are holding the flashlight, press the "r" (reload) key with a battery in your inventory. :)

i keep trying, but i just can get to flashlight to "reload"... i found a dead flash light and i have 2 9 volt batterys that are full, any step by steps? or am i just that dumb...

I don't think 9 volts fit into the flashlight... I mean I don't know of any flashlights that take 9v batteries.

the only other battery i found was just called battery, and it looked like a car battery.. it was dead..

I'm running into the same issue, but if we found the same flashlight along with two other broken items, I think that the flashlight might be broken, not just out of batteries.

After repairing the flashlight I found that I could "reload" batteries.

Sometimes you do find broken items like that. If it's worth it to fix them, do it!

Oh damn, thanks - I have like 10+ batteries and three spent flashlights (including a military flashlight)
