Bug of the pick
After i find the fainted man on the floor and pick it up i wake up in a room as the fainted man, i find a needle to do a pick however when i try to unlock the cellar door it says that is unlocked than when i try to open it it says that is locked again! And I'm stuck in this stupid room without the chance of doing nothing but to waste my life and start from scratches again, there's not even a save point after meeting the fainted man, please answer to my questions, is this a bug? Because i'm getting angry with this game.

We're very sorry about that, it seems it's a bug. Please remember this is a alpha, and things like these are bound to happen.

I apologize for my bad english, thanks for the fast answer in any case, i hope you'll solve this soon cause i'd like to see how it progresses.

A couple minor bugs I've noted so far are that there are doubled recipes in the crafting section, as in the same recipe twice for various items. A second bug I noted is that I had a dog after me and it stepped in a bear trap, at that point the dog appeared to be helpless but alive, yet I could not hit it and finish it off, it just sat there whining. Hope these reach you acid wizards and help in some way.

DId you actaully craft a lockpick?. Do you hold ctrl while you try to use it?.

Not sure if its a glitch or a reward for doing the prologue but if you do the prologue you seem to start with two odd mushrooms, but with nothing if you skip the prologue. Also not sure if intended or not, but if you die on none permadeath, you seem to lose all skill gained from mutation.
Played for a few hours and got a few bugs to report. First one was when I tried to stop building the well it froze me there and could not move and had to begin a new game (why the hell would I not want to build the well). Second is some buildings vanish as you might already know. Third tested save files and one of the bugs was that locations of npc items you need to get would reset in a different location on the map and that ruined trying to find a the musical quest item and maybe some other ones as well. Fourth can't use recipes or I don't know how to use them right. I will be looking for more weird bugs to report and find. :drizzle:

After waking up as the fainted man and pouring gasoline in the generator and trying to turn it on all interactive options disappear. All I can do is stand there and look at the character looking like a sack of potatoes leaning over the generator... This has happened both times I tried to play the game.

Powered another generator and the character froze a few seconds after while I was trying to climb through a window.

The cellar door appears locked for me too, after picking the lock. I could do a "search" and get some items, but it would not open as a passage. Is it supposed to do that?

This is where I got stuck too. I think we are supposed to break the house door? That's what I would try next anyway. I foolishly tried breaking a window, but the tool I crafted (some club with nails) broke and I could not do anything else.

edit: It's clear to me that it is an alpha. The game looks great and has interesting mechanics. I hope the developers take this feedback as well meant, rather than pointless compaints about stuff that bothered us.

Ouch i really want to play this game....now i'm waiting for an update that might solve the bug, can't understand why in my computer occured so fast while in others later.

Just as an update (I wrote this in a similar thread), this bug won't get you stuck. You just don't have to use the "open" action on the trapdoor (because it will still say it is locked). After you pick its lock you can just search it and get the items stored within.

Yes the cellar is just a small storage area, basically a hole in the ground.

Maybe that part should be communicated better, being the tutorial...
You're supposed to use the shovel to break down the door, it has just enough durability for that. (Or it's scripted to break on the last swing that breaks the door.)

My issue was* that after using the shovel on the initial room door, and then picking the lock on the trapdoor, I encountered this bug saying that the door was still locked. I was able to loot it, but my mind got stuck thinking I should be able to use the door to escape the house.
When it became obvious that I could not, I crafted the other tool that you are able to (the board with nails) and thought that I had to break down the front door (the character refused) or a barricaded window (the tool broke, the generator also ran out and I got stuck). My settings were so dark that I could not locate that other door that needs to be ... noticed next (although I got some text when I went near it, but thought it was some illusion or something in the cages that I could not see - this game makes me paranoid).

*. Like I mention above I have since got past this point. It was quite easy, and turning the gamma up helped a lot (I had completely miscalibrated the game in the gamma setup screen).

Ah ok, I missed the house door part, thought you meant the one in the room with the trapdoor.

I just noticed in another thread, there's been a patch released just now.
Trapdoor is fixed, among other things. Saves will be wiped though.
