What to do at night?
I haven't played too much really but, when night comes I go to the well and then go in my house. Perhaps I didn't wait long enough but it seems like I just sit in the house forever with nothing happening. The one I did decide to step out I got killed. I'm thinking if I just sat in the house I woulda been safe. But I was getting kind of bored not doing anything while waiting for day time. Any help?

I would fortify the house but I just didn't see a reason to as nothing was trying to come in. Or maybe I should have just done it anyway to pass some time.

It's not like I can survive at night anyway. Something always gets in my house and kills me. I don't have any light and I guess that's the problem. I've been all over the map and haven't even found a piece of cloth to make a torch. Also I have tons of gas but is there no generator at my house?

***Oh wow just realized there's another little building next to my home with a geny in it hah.

Well, I have boarded all the windows, so that monsters have a harder time spotting me and I hide in the room closest to the front door so that none of them can see me

Night passes soon enough. There is a great white flash and it advances to the next day.

is there a way to repair that god awsful big hole in the wall southeast in your house? Giant black dogs just love wandering inside that hole into my house every night and murder me...

Hint: You can push furniture...

Pro tip: Monsters can too :P

(dogs keep just wondering into the furniture and push it... then they explore the house every night.

Board up windows and put yourself behind a door. Dogs love to rearrange your furniture but they have hang ups about touching door knobs. Too many germs, you see. I am yet wondering if light attracts/detures monsters but I've found that they don't seem to want to waste time trying to break down your windows. It might help that I try to minimize my line of sight to outside the house during the night by huddeling in a corner.
More than once I've found bloodstains outside the house in the morning, dogs come and seem to drive away or kill the more tenasious humanlike enemies.

I think they vary depneding on how much light you have around. When i sit in darknees i usually see shadow schisms attack me. When my lights are on i just see dogs and humans.

You could also try boarding up the door leading to the room that has the hole in the wall.
