About Darkwood 1.4

Hello,

I had the game for a long time and I finished it before the 1.4 update and I wanted to know what was new in this update?

I also bought the game on Nintendo Switch when it came out and I remember the trailer had some great animations and scenes I had never seen in the game, so I hope to be surprised when I play it again.

It's by far one of my favourite games and I hope one day there will be a Darkwood II or something very similar to it with base building and viserally scary monsters appearing to haunt us every night...

There's news about it in the game's news feed, but you can read the patch notes in the original post here, or read it on the wikia[darkwood.fandom.com]It's mainly bugfixes and improvements to control schemes.

Certain quality of life improvements would also be great. Might sound a little bizarre for a game like this, but there are things this game could certainly iron out, especially in terms of repairing, upgrading, utility and maybe even the stacking of items certain items.

I'm now playing this amazing game for the first time since I got my Steam Deck (perfect way to play). Should I be playing on 1.4 or stick to 1.3? Is 1.4 stable enough? Thanks for any input.

1.4 might still be a long way off, it's been in beta for 2+ yrs. The beta, 1.4, still has a few performance issues (frame drops when it rains & crashes when tabbed out), so the current version, 1.3, might be the safer bet. The only changes coming to 1.4 are controller support changes.
