About the Chicken Lady's key...

Can I use it on the door and still be able to give it to the musician/wolf? I'd be leaving her daughter as-is, I just wanted the items in the room.

EDIT: Alright, I said f#$& it and opened the door and looted the room, including the fabric covering the daughter. After that was done, I went and killed the sow and let the day roll. Then I went to the silo and was still able to give the Musician the key. So yes, it is possible to use the key and even loot the room before giving the key to one of the two characters.

My usual answer for this question is no, if you decide to use the key yourself it is spent therefore it can no longer be given away (this is how it worked for me when I tested it a very long time ago)..

However, if you search through this forum there are some conflicting answers in various discussion threads which say there is a way to use the key yourself AND give it away (I'm not sure it's intended to work that way but maybe there are some loopholes).

when i played the game, i could always open that door, loot everything in here AND then give the key to the musician or the wolfman
