Will Modding Be In the Future of Darkwood?

I've just begun playing darkwood and already see the potential for an amazing modding community. I just think it would be so cool to see people tell there own stories in this dark and gritty world with the tools the Acid Wizards have provided. But to be completely honest, I just thought it would be awesome for some sort of horde mode to exist out there. Thoughts anyone?

A game does not require a special engine to be modded. I was just curious if the wizards would be supporting a modding community. Kappa has answered my question. Thank you kappa. Havingfun.exe is however just a downer

I really hope the devs change their whole stance on modding. This game is just brimming with potential for mods. Custom stories, maps, weapons, items, monsters, and all that good stuff. Also, I think a horde mode would be a ton of fun if implemented correctly.

You see very good game that is in development, and you instantly want to that game can be modded, without even playing the complete game.

Just so you could make your TRASH custom stories, maps, weapons, items and monsters.

If you EVER had a good or great idea for modding and making your own stories you would make your own games.

You wouldnt cry around to some1 gift you power of making games like Darkwood.

Calling mods "TRASH" is, quite frankly, an insult to the modding community as a whole.While I don't make mods myself (you seem to jump to the conclusion that I do for some reason), the people making them do it for FREE, just so that others can have some fun. People devote years to making mods for others to enjoy, calling their work "TRASH" is quite pathetic and ungrateful. Also, some of the best games out there started out as mods (Insurgency, Red Orchestra, etc.). Some mods are better than the base game itself. So stop flaming the forums about something you clearly know nothing about.

Mods can bring attention to a game, which benefits The Studio behind the games creation...

i see him more of the "HARCORZ GAMER!! WAHT NO CHANGE!!" whiner/ rager species. suggest even the smallest of things and they snap like your going to cheat and destroy there godly game.

and i agree, mods could acctually add to the hardness then take away from it. add more monsters/ mobs, change layout, weaken you and items for a insane game mode of sorts. change settings to how many mosters in a area, for example more common in the grassy areas and swarm the dark forest.

i agree, the mods could add to the game, and draw attention to it...And even add a greater love to the game.
Like, Think Of Arma 2 and day Z....and im pretty sure Valve, another game studios, has benefited greatly from the modding community...

Guys, chill out. Mods are awesome. Making tools for modding Darkwood would require a LOT of time. Even if we would decide to create them (which we currently aren't), it would be after Darkwood is finished.
