I thought it kept day/night cycle, but if it does, I don't get it.

Do you progress the game story by "Leveling up?"

blue bar is how far you've filled up your syringe for next level. Kinda like an experience bar for how many mushrooms you brew.
Dream sequences are triggered on leveling up.

The blue bar seems to represent how many milileters you have in your syringe. I THINK.

And yeah, dreams happen after a certain amount of injections. I';ve had two dreams so far.
