Spoilers: What do I do after i burn the tree?

In short, manage to burn the tree down expecting the cripple to give me some sort of key. Instead, i get the message to wait for tomorow which i do. The next thing I know burning villagers are surrounding me at night. Was kill by them and now I find myself trap in my hideout surrounded by endless(?) blackness. Already survived one night so no idea what to do next to get out of this world.

Bit of update: Ran towards the direction where the village with the tree used to be and reached a biome called "Biombe_empty" Is this meant to happen? I have seen some text get similar stuff like checking the shrine in the village or reciving the key from the old lady but this puts be in doubt. Really need someone to clear this for me...

I'm getting the same thing, don't know what to do at all. survived about 4 days now and the same endless void is still there and can't seem to progress. I'd love if some devs or someone who's finished it can shed some light on this? keep getting "biome_empty" when i go too far left towards what used to be the village.

It's a bug, guys. I finished ch. 2. After the night the tree burns down, went back to the village and the tree is not blocking the way anymore. If you go through, you get looped back to your hideout and told that's it for now, but feel free to continue playing. So basically you're not missing anything spectacular...just feel free to keep rocking out in the swamp :)

Ah okey was hoping that wasnt the case. Well might as well try to test the different outcomes on the first chapter then and maybe killl the snail.

Think so, really wanted to see more of the mother with the gas mask with her children and really curious to know the lore of the tower at the top of the map :'(
