flashlights
are flashlights even worth the time and space to use? they havent been useful to me much at all

I personally never used them once I had flares and lanterns. They leave your hands free to use weapons, light up an area instead of a cone, and don't require an additional item slot for their "ammo"; I think flashlights are a failed middle tier between wood torches and the hands-free lights. I'd even argue that torches are better than flashlights because they can be used to hit or burn stuff.

Flashlights and batteries are completely worthless
I believe that lanterns are better because the can light up an area and you don't need to hold them to work. Lanterns are especially useful in the silent forest since it's dark and you need to have your weapon in hand to defend yourself against the savages and huge dogs.
