I hate this game

I appreciate the art, voices, sounds and the talent of the Dev.

But Ive wanted to get this off my backlog for so long and i just cant play for more than 10 minutes. Not because its scary but the controls and the way you pick things up , and as much as i like the art STYLE it still looks like crap and trying to find things is hard. I will update this post when i finally get to actually playing the damn thing, but for now i want it to be known, MC858 hates this games (and he has a lot of good games)

Hey that's actually unfortunate. Many have gotten pulled for a few thousand hours closer to their ineivtable deaths by this game simply for the things you've appreciated here. If you hate this game, there's nothing anyone can do to convince you otherwise.

maybe if you played the game, and got used to controls. which I and we all have, you'd see how easy it is to function the game.

I think most of the people here have experienced the same thing at some point. There are some games which you really WANT to love, and you see a lot of other people with similar tastes love the hell out of, but you just can't seem to get in to. A similar game for me recently is Blasphemous; which has all the aspects of a game which normally would make me love it, and it's widely loved, but I just can't get into it. Just like you, it's a game that I want to keep giving a chance to, because the art style is amazing, and I want to be drinking the Kool-Aid like everyone else is. No one wants to hate a game, especially when it seems like the kind of game you'd really be in to.

I also understand why you made the post. Not because you want to hate on anyone that loves the game, but because it's frustrating to you that everyone loves it so much, yet you can't. So, you want to talk out your frustrations, but you don't know anyone that plays to talk to about it. So, you must post your frustrations to an anonymous crowd that you know doesn't care, but at least your thoughts are out there.

I feel you. I will say the game gets some getting used to, but so far (20 hours in) I love the game. Part of the appeal is that the game doesn't hold your hand and that you must figure out a lot for yourself. I will tell you these two guides are great to start off with, without ruining the game. The first one gives you spoiler-free tips, and the second one is just a narrative guide you can use if you’re ever stuck on what to do next. I will also include a spoiler-free skill tier list, if you don’t feel like wasting your mutations on useless skills.

i just saw one of your comments on the guide Perfice put up. Sounds like good advice. maybe if you werent such a doosh and helped out like Perfice, more people could get into this game. The way i feel about it is not unique bud. Why are russians so damn angry all the time anyway

As someone who has played quite a lot of flash games and isometric games, this handles just like expected. This just seams like not your cup of tea, not that the game is designed poorly.
