Return to base time
I was wondering, at what time is it recommended to turn on the generators / when does the night kick in and freaks start spawning around my shelter :] ?

Edit: Also, what do you do with the 'wedding ring' ? Is it of any use in any way?
Thank:thehook:!

It's been established for a while now that the night officially starts at 20:00, so have everything ready by then. Time will start advancing at double the normal rate until dawn at 8:00.

I don't think the wedding rings have any use besides selling them.

Considering that it's still being updated, I'm fairly certain that it's alive.

Get the watch and have it in your inventory with you and you can see the time. 2000, (8:00pm) is when it gets dark so I would suggest working your way back to your safe house no later than 1830, (6:30pm). I would also suggest getting "Runner" as a perk, it allows you to run with infinite stamina for about 30sec. I use it to get back to the safe house before dark.

How do you get it to kick-in exactly tho? Isn't it like random? Can it not just activate at the most useless time ?

You can activate it like the other inactive perks by going to your pause menu that pulls up the three choices, map, perks, and journel. Then go to perk and press action button after scrolling over it.

Time isn't paused when the skill menu is open; an enemy can knock you out of it.

Wow lol.
Devs coulda have made like quick-press buttons for it. Opening journal, going to specific place... duh

LOL I don't think I've ever really anticipated a time when i would have to flee. Although this is my first playthrough, i could see it being handy for veterans.

The skills are just a keypress and mouse click away, then time is slowed down and you can use any skill.
Very good and accessible

You press "Q" to start the power selection menu, and you choose it with the mouse. But as they said before, time keeps running, so don't take too long.

duh.

Time slows considerably, so if you'll fiddle with active skills a bit in safe time there shouldnt be any trouble popping them in midst of combat without being hit.
B the Self Sep 18, 2017 @ 2:58pm
just press Q for a second
