Your next step should be to go to the Silent Forest and meet the wolf there. He should be marked on your map. The Wolf tells you to meet him there, from there you will progress deeper into the story. Also look for the second hideout as well inside the Silent Forest... cause you'll need to migrate there...
When you move from zone to zone you'll change hideouts. This game does not hold your hand at all, but I am happy to help at any time.
You were probably at the wrong entrance (Old Woods) you need to find the Silent Forest Entrance. You are currently in the Dry Meadow.
once you get near the entrance to the silent forest... There are a ton of trees that will lead you to a house. The trees are tight to eachother, you'll know when you find it because it is unlike anywhere in the first forest (Zone)
heres a picture of my map

anyway, the wolf didnt tell me to meet him anywhere. i found the trees you were talking about but i couldnt do anything in the house because all the doors were locked
No worries, the game is hard. No shame in looking up a code. A lot of the objects you can interact with look like they are a part of the world. My friend recently bought the game and didn't know he could interact with half of everything. Goodluck in the Silent Forest
If you listened to wolfy, he told you to head for the silent woods. On the way there you should find a house that, near the exist leading to the silent forest, has a body which will have a map on it, telling you where the silent woods base is. head over to your new home, dont worry about leaving items in your old home. that will be dealt with eventually. GOOD LUCK
the room in question is the same room where the oven and workshop is, i didnt think the oven would produce enough light for it to be a problem.
the main problem is that hideout 2 has so many openings and entrances, where is it safe to bunker down in?
Own the area you decide to camp out, master the combat and kill whatever you can (corpse loot is a valuable resource).
Hideouts usually get progressively harder with each zone. Harder enemies... and bigger rooms to manage. Its up to you as the player to defend what you believe is the easiest room(s) to defend.
What I usually do... is I hunker down in the main living room and the hallway next to it. I use a wardrobe for the "opening" to block the spot I can't build a door in. When enemies run into it they freak out and don't usually break it, and they can't push it.
Then... I take all the existing funiture thats left and block the doors that are near the torn down part of the house. Wedging the funiture in perfectly so the enemies RARELY break it down and can't push it away.
I leave both lights to light up the living room and hallway. (they will find you whether you have your lights on or not...) Barricade EVERY window and door connected to those rooms EXCEPT... the door to the bathroom. (The room with the bathtub in it). The room with the workbench I barricade those two windows and not the door. (That is my entrance door). but it should be blocked by other funiture (dressers/bathtub/chairs/or desk)
When night time comes I make sure to have everything I need and I never go into that dark spot in my house with the workbench and bathroom. I leave it dark. 8 times out of ten nothing will ever get into my house. Unless they break through the windows. I hope you understand what I just said.
ive done the same, and my friend didnt.
i had a great time and saw some awesome things that i wont spoil
my friend got spoiled on these moments before he even reached them wich caused the effect of the situation to lessen
