Question about the trader and his items

So, i am playing this game after a long time because i was waiting for it to release, and i want to know if someone can help me clarify something. Each morning the trader comes and his items seems to always return to a default state, what i mean by that is that he always replenish his stock, and i wanted to know if i can play the game safe, knowing that he always will restock, because i know he will always have that extra nail and board by the morning which i can use to barricade my hideout again, buy some fuel perhaps.

About the game, what can i say? Really happy the team managed to bring this full version to us, loving it so far!

Don't be a hoarding fiend though, he only usually has 4-5 empty slots to buy stuff so don't max out your workshop + furniture with crap in excess you don't need. A shortcut between H2 and H3 can be opened that is a wormhole, basically, and I always split my stockpiles in half between them. Some nights, H3 is just too much.

Yep, i know, i am not intending to just sit and farm. Just wanted to know if i can play kinda safe, i am always exploring and getting some progress on the storyline
