The first dream sequence help
Hey people, I'm kinda stuck here. I injected more mushrooms into myself and ended up in a dream where I followed some stones and ended up in a carousel. I walked around some more and saw this weird red blob that made noises. What am I supposed to do?

Most of the dreams present multiple options for ending them, with various consequences and rewards.

Dying is one of the more common options, and usually has unpleasant repercussions.

Got the same problem. Red blob/noisy things don't kill you.
I got a whole bunch of shiny stones, I can't thrown them, and I can;t interact with the carosel.
So what now?

tracking a bit back and looking around from the red/black block theres a lamp turn it on and off again and a new light path will be revealed, beating the dream seems to give you a shiny stone.

That was the problem, I turned on the lamp on the table, didn't want to walk over mounds of corpses (turned off). Walked to the carosel (while picking up stones), got to the right edge (couldn't pass it) and then backtracked and tried all the edges and couldnt get past those...
I guess I will have to retry again from my last save and see if I can update as well.

when you turn the lamp on/off another trail of shiny stones appears

SOLUTION:
So, I was able to get out of it. Turns out the carosel is one of the first objects u happen apon, and the table with the lamp is somewhat to the down and right of it (following shiny stones). Have to turn it on the lamp, walk on the bodies (lamp turns into human/baby/thing?) and click on it.
Turns back to regular wood dream, then walk up and to the right (follow shiny stones) and lie on bed.

another tip, picking up none of the shiny stones causes you to get two shiny stones once completing the dream, rather than one

Has this been confirmed by multiple tests?

Not quite, I tried it after reading a post on another discussion by another user which stated that you get two stones if you dont pick up any, and I found that I recieved the same results as they did when I tried that, which was two shiny stones

I said I got two for not grabbing any, but was uncertain if it was intentional or a bug.

I've definitely didn't picked up a single stone in my recent playthrough, but never got two stones.
