How do I connect new lamps to the generator?

I dragged a perfectly good lamp from the underground tunnel house back home. Sadly I was disappointed that night when the darn thing would not turn on with the rest of my lamps.

I don't think there is a way to connect them to the generators that they weren't origionlly attached to. Mainly because i don't think the devs anticpated someone to drag a lamp from one house all the way to another XD

Put all your lamps into one room and fortify that room and you wont need more than 2.
There isn't a way to connect non-native lamps to the generator that I am aware of.

Actually, they did anticipate it, because people have been doing it for awhile.

Yeah i did that back in beta, adn then got this whole itch for "Crafting" furniture.

I kinda wanted to see a power limit, Ex- only connect 2 lamps, or 4 small lights, or 1 lamp, and two small lights.

And it drives me nuts to see all these houses so baren. But it fits the theme I guess.
