so 56% of players finish the prolouge..
but only 9.3% get the next acheivement.

which means that of the 56% that finish the prolouge, 1 out of 5 like it enough to continue from that point on, which means the reviews which look good really aren't that accurate at all.

the prolouge is about all i can stand as well.

the map is to big to find what you need first off.
first night came i had nothing at all.

those feeling you're talking about when you feel if the map is too big or you can't find stuff you need are exactly the desired feelings for this type of a game. What you're saying doesn't mean the game isn't good it just means you're not interested.

rather the random generation is not good, which the entire game runs on, which in turn makes the game what? in my experience not good.

and it isn't like watching videos of gameplay (which you shouldn't have to do anyways) will help because it is random.

there is no marker to even show you where on the minimap as you wander.

and actually it is closer to one out of six, even worse than stated originally.
the math speaks for itself really.

yeah like i said you are not looking for the experience this game has to offer, none of the stuff you said make the game bad i would count them as good points because they work against you helping to put you in the depair filled world of the game as intended.

All i'm saying is all the stuff you're complaining about are "good" and working parts of the game and are problems for you because you don't want to buy what the game tries to sell you which is you getting into the atmosphere of the game and feeling despair etc.

If you don't like the game ok sure but you are not listing problems of the game you are just "not getting" the game and you wanna play more relaxing and rewarding stuff that will hold your hand and guide you, thats also fine, but you posting these here is what doesn't make sense.

no i'm not, i coulda got that from bloodbowl..
seriously..

so let me ask, if you have to scrounge for stuff by day, and it is so spread out and you have no map markers, and by the time night comes you literally have NOTHING, and I mean literally NOTHING, how do you survive the second day let alone the night?

thats not fun..

should have limited the map size some in all seriousness, the map is way too big.

look at the numbers, doesn't it tell you anything?
it tells me your that one in 6 fanatic that would continue.

i was born in 1971, computers grew up with me, i have seen alot of games, my first was called "pong", i don't think this game is special in any way shape nor form really.

the RNG puts it on par as "Bloodbowl" really, great in concept but poor in action.

the only time i have ever seen RNG work well was dungeonhack actually, do you remember dungeonhack?

and TBH with you, i live on a sidewalk, i have been a homeless person for 10 years now, i know despair, this isn't about despair, its about bad RNG.

if you wish to see despair you can always come here to LA and live this life too.

The game has plenty of map markers. Immediately after finishing up the prologue, you have the first hideout and the Underground Entrance marked. Your character's journal says to check that place out first, and you'll find a considerable guaranteed supply stash out in the open once you get there.

There is always a road leading near the Entrance, and you should always be able to walk in a straight line from your hideout to the Entrance. Along that straight line, you should find at least a couple of supply items, unless your luck is legendarily awful.

It really isn't all that random. Things tend to pop up in similar clusters across multiple games.

Nethack was good, but the random generation could rarely make literally unwinnable situations, such as an invisible teleport trap only a couple of floors down putting you inside a room with no exits, even hidden ones.

Aside from all of that... wouldn't a homeless person be more concerned with things other than arguing about an indy game's sales and reviews?

like making my brothers quit trading in debt and calling it profitable?

homelessness wouldn't exist then, have you really stopped and considered?

how foolish, to accept something your gonna have to pay back in the end for wages..

The big red circle tells you that you're at your hideout or another location. You don't get a marker when outside of a location, but it's difficult to actually get lost, since the map isn't actually that big. If you get lost during a twenty second jog between two locations, then I can't really come up with any good advice.

You never pressed J or whichever button you assigned it to?

who would tell you not to speak of a wrong?
that is much more serious than a game, yet you do it everyday right? but THAT is normal and acceptable.

mate, i don't know you.

consider the truth of the matter.

i don't care about the game, i just think the RNG and the map size is not good
if the journal should be cheked shouldn't they stop and tell you this? give you a flashing warning or something to know there is something there to see? i spent my time outside lookign for stuff, found poisonous mushrooms, that was all, seriously..

good job

well, look at it like this, the acheivements are telltale for the next installment, they will sell 1 of 6 copies they sold previous.

one hit wonder, seen it many times.

this is one of my favorite games tbh, you really don't get it and not even that you seem to not know how to play games, did you even read anything while playing the game, maybe something like this:
“You are playing a challenging and unforgiving game.”
“You will not be led by the hand.”
“Respect the woods. Be patient. Focus.”

after reading these words the fact that you post any of this or you don't "press the deafult key" as you said in your previous post really just shows how clueless you are.

and you trade in the debt of your neighbor and call it profitable and call others clueless..

i am dumbfounded..
wait till you see the implicite truth behind that, your gonna feel foolish.

i simply stated in the first post and never changed the simple fact that the problem is the map size and the RNG..

if you can wander until it warns you to retreat to your place and find nothing the map is too LARGE.

if there is no marker to show you where YOU are on the map it makes it even harder..

and if i have stuff i should be taking note of (like journal entries) games usually flash somethng to let you know, not this one.

saw no underground area marked on the map that was spoke of earlier, the cabin only..

my experience was not good.

i told you why, why cant you accept that without trying to insult?
your failing at it anyways..
have you considered the insult you are to yourself?

we don't care that this is one of your favorite games, whats that supposed to mean to me?
i didn't like it, and i simply stated why i felt that way.

map size and RNG, point blank.
