You get reputation for the morning trader for every survived night; you get more for surviving in later hideouts. Also, if you were playing on the original Nightmare difficulty, then your main reward would be not having your save file wiped.
Oh, and a fully upgraded shovel probably is made of adamantium: it's hilariously durable and can take out most enemies with one combo. You can find a lot of materials for it just by exploring in the Silent Woods, along with everything you need to make a handgun.
I would had to the previous sayings of this fine gentlemens by telling you to just go in the garage room whit the generator and drag 2 lights if you have taken skills(if you havent you dont need it because you dont have shadows) rebuild the door, drag the sofa to block the door on the right and baricade it, do the same whit the windows and drag the big wardrobe and block the only unbaricaded door whit. always stay whit beartraps whit you and board+¨nails to rebuild baricades
Then the lights went out. Then a bird thing appeared. Then it spawned lots of little birds. Then I swore and turned the game off. I am desperately trying to like this game, but I'm rapidly running out of patience.
Banshees spawn their children if you look at them too long, kill them, or bump into them. They can't move through barricades, and a Molotov can quickly kill all the babies as they spawn.
Learn, adapt, and prepare.
I mean, if the point of the devs is to get people to want to play this game they hit the nail on the head - slightly off center, and driving it deep into the wood and then bashed it to make it sorta fit.
Too bad.
Stick and fist savages have a few specific hit combos, For stick savages, they will do 1 of 3 attacks; a long wind up, then an overhead bash ( Do not try to attack during or after this. It's range and windup are too long and fast to hit. ) A single swipe, ( This is also hard to hit, but possible. Best to dodge and wait.) and at last, a double swipe. ( This has very, very similar animations to the single swipe, but a much longer drawback. After both hits are swung, step forward and attack.)
Guys, I'll give you a tip; learn the combat in your first run. Run at everything using a plank and nails, learn each enemy's attack patterns, develop strategies. Don't worry about dying, keep it on normal difficulty.
Do. Not. Finish. The. Game. Finishing in normal mode, unless you're extremely story orientated, will not feel satisfying. The nights are just 'Kill yourself to enemies to skip' simulators and not worth playing. You should just fight things until you are comfortable with combat and the game mechanics.
After some combat, make a new game and set it to hard mode. This still gives you 5 lives but a real sense of wanting to stay alive. After your first few runs, you should be at least somewhat versed in combat. If you ever encounter something which kills you enough times to make you really wish you weren't on hard mode, go back to your first save and practise against it.
