It's fun to go outside occasionally, there are some good night events going on outside (and in other rooms within the hideout).
The problem is, with this game is that they tell you to hide intdoors at night, but go outside an exploreif you dare and see thing you wish you had known all along ; ]
You can walk around the hideout, outside. Hideout 1 teaches you some bad habits I think. It makes you think you are safe if you just sit in a room, because the savages don't really try to break in. You are in for a rude awakening at Hideout 2 and 3 if that becomes your playstyle.
